Meet Adrián

Cold Chain Logistics Manager

My name is Adrián, and I am the cold chain logistics manager. At Plukon, I oversee refrigerated and frozen logistics in Spain: I coordinate all flows, set operational and administrative guidelines, and work closely with Vera Segura, the group company that currently cold chain logistics manager. I lead a team of more than 100 people-drivers, traffic managers, and administrative staff. I joined Plukon for a professional step forward: more responsibility, a larger company and group, and a project that is growing in Spain and across Europe. Six years later, I am still very happy here.

Why does Adrián work at Plukon?

  • food - and in our case poultry - is a stable sector; in addition, the group continues to grow in Spain and Europe.

  • There are strong directors and managers here; people do what they say, and challenges are tackled together.

  • I took on responsibility at a young age, contribute efficiency at the lowest possible cost, and have been able to improve - for example, my English through weekly classes.

“In logistics, there are challenges every day, but as a team they turn into opportunities - and even into something enjoyable.”

Adrián's workday

Every day is different.

I start by talking with the most operational teams to see what has happened overnight and in the morning: incidents, urgent matters, and priorities. If an issue arises, we address it quickly and in close coordination with traffic and the warehouse. I am also very focused on integrating new companies into the group: finding synergies, organizing processes, and making sure everything flows better.

On the administrative side, I set guidelines, answer the team’s questions, and we make decisions together. When there is time, I focus on process improvements - there is always a lot to optimize in logistics. We serve both internal and external customers, and the idea is clear: do things right and do them efficiently. There are days when I look at the clock, it’s 11:00… and suddenly it’s already 18:00.

Working at Plukon Spain

What I value most is the people: colleagues who put in the effort to make everything run smoothly and reliable leaders who deliver on what they promise. That environment makes daily challenges easier to handle.

In addition to the stability of the sector, being part of a growing international group opens up opportunities to learn and take on more responsibility. That combination—team, values, stability, and growth—is what makes the difference.
