My name is Jaime and I work as a Shift Leader at Plukon Spain, within the food production department. My main responsibility is to ensure that the shift planning is successfully executed on site: I manage the team, organise the production lines and make sure orders are delivered on time and to the quality standards our customers expect.

Jaime's workday
On a typical working day, I start by reviewing the shift planning and production requirements. I make sure the team is complete, that everyone knows their responsibilities, and that everything is in place for a good start to the day. From the very beginning of the shift, coordination and teamwork are essential to keep everything running smoothly.
Throughout the day, I monitor production to ensure plans are being met, make adjustments where necessary and support the team on the production floor. I also check that orders are dispatched on time, meet quality standards and fulfil customer expectations. At the same time, I continuously look for improvements-small changes in organisation, processes or team collaboration that help us work more efficiently.
At the end of the shift, I make sure everything is left in good order and that all relevant production information is clearly passed on, so the next shift can continue without issues. That shared sense of achieving results together is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role as a Shift Leader.
